Thai Student Association at Arizona State University was established in the spring of 1996 by a group of five Thai students.
At that time, the only purpose of setting up the organization is to reserve a court for a basketball tournament.
Due to the rapid increase of Thai students at ASU, in August of the same year, the first meeting was called at the Coffee
Plantation-Downtown Tempe to officially restructure the organization setup. All Thai students, whose I-20s were issued
by ASU, were invited to the meeting. There were a total of 32 attendees in that meeting. This first meeting is the landmark
activity originating the association.
Members of the association consist of all Thai students who have involved in the ASU community regardless of their official enrollments;
therefore, many of our members are the students from the surrounding universities and community colleges. Surprisingly, some of our
members are exchanged students traveled halfway around the world from universities in Thailand.

Accordingly, there is no certain rule in identifying a member of the association.
The only type of membership is lifetime. Once someone becomes the association's member,the membership will not expire.
Since its establishment, all members always willingly participate in the association's activities every time they are called for. In our community, all members enjoy living in the atmosphere of warm friendship and brotherhood. The magic glues, which help us maintain such a wonderful community, are love, sincerity, and forgiveness.
